We had a couple problems restoring a 7GB volume. It took three tries to
finally get the restore, but I am thinking that it may have been a networking
issue at the time. We did get the restore, but when it failed, the failed
volume took up diskspace on the partition and was not listed in a vos listvol
or listvldb command. We had to use volinfo to find the volume id so we could
zap it.
We have quite a few volumes >2GB, but I try to limit them if I can. At
Decorum this year the issue of 2GB volumes was brought up a few times
and Transarc always seemed to skirt the issue with a comment like "that's
on our items to look into...", and that's all they would really say about it.
