In both AIX 3.1 and AIX 3.2; "551" is shown while the boot logical volume
is mounted; while a "ipl_varyon" is executing, and before the real root
partition is mounted. Ooooohh -- I bet I know what's happening; the
PTF you ran rebuilt a boot image with the "afs" version of v3fsckhelper.
I don't blame you for feeling sick. In AIX 3.2, you might be able to fix
this by changing the right line in the right file(s) in /usr/lib/boot/*.proto,
to point to the original copy of v3fsckhelper; but heaven help you if
one of those PTF's changes any of those files.
