weekly restarts

Are there sites out there that have disabled the weekly server restarts?  In
particular I'm really interested in afs3.2 fileserver only machines.  I'm
thinking of turning off the weekly restart, but I'd like to know if I'm asking
for trouble.  It seems to me that this feature was added to protect against
memory leaks, but since afs has matured significantly I'm wondering if they are
still necessary.
