At my site, I have a bunch of Sun IPX's, and a few Sun SS10's. I
recently set up an SS10 as a server. Until now, all of my non-system
programs (third party purchased and compiled off the net) were in
/usr/local/bin, and the IPX's and SS10's shared them with no problems.
With AFS, the modload kernel extension needs to be different. But
will I have any problem using the same afs client programs between
both systems? Should I use the sun4c or the sun4m executeables? What
about the server programs? vfsck?
