 }  Something strange is definitely going on with using cvs and
 } AFS. 

I think I noticed that when your current PTS id != your uid,
the locks are not deleted.  The stat() system call returns
the PTS id of the owner. If that id != your uid, CVS assumes
you did not lock it, and leaves the lock files alone.  The
next time you try to use it, it complains that someone has
the repository locked.

It's a bit irritating, and we've been meaning to 'fix' (read as
'change') CVS, but it's not been important enough for us to get it
done so far. 

If you do it first, please send me a patch. (Hey, so I'm lazy... :-)
