Owen LeBlanc asks if software disk striping is incompatible with AFS
/vice partitions (he is using an HP9000/700 running HP-UX 9.0.1 and AFS
3.2b.

I direct your attention to pp. 2-17, 3-7 and 3-21 of the AFS
Installation Guide distributed with AFS 3.2 (document number
FS-D200-00.02.6), where it is noted:

>Important note for HP-UX systems: HP-UX >systems allow only one
partition per disk (AFS >does not support "disk striping").

Under AFS 3.3 (currently available in beta form), disk striping is
possible for the hp700_ux90 system type, but not for hp300_ux90. The
hp800_ux90 system type uses logical volumes rather than disk striping.
