DNS records,

I understood that at one time the AFSDB DNS records were going to be
used by AFS to replace the CellServDB file on each client. They
never did add this.

I also heard that OSF/DCE is going to user the AFSDB version 2 record
for cross cell authentication, and you needed to be running bind 4.9.x.

(These are vague recolection, so I may have the numbers wrong.)
The point is that yes the AFSDB entries are usefull when you get to DCE.

In [1] on page 329 and in [2], there is a discussion of AFSDB DNS records.
a) Are these actually used by AFS?
b) Are there plans to use them?
c) Should I include them in my bit of the domain namespace?
