thanks for all the help with making fs work for me.. Separate question regarding afs 3.5 client on a laptop. I have nt 4 sp 5 installed on an IBM thinkpad. I use afs from ethernet on campus. Of course afs doesn't like not being connected to the network. However, I've noticed that when I use my laptop while NOT connected to the network, the 'fn - alt' function keypad is stuck on. These are the letters UIO-JKL-<-789 -- these keys map through the 'fn' key to 1234567890 .. On boot, if disconnected from ethernet and therefor afs, these are stuck ON. As soon as ethernet is connected, upon reboot, system is happy. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and what the solution might be to prevent it.
