One FULL dump set spanning two tapes, butc prompts for the second
tape, the dump continues on the second tape, the dump log shows entries
being added, the software hoses at least several minutes and several
volume dumps later.

Sun standalone DLT 7000 running in compress mode.
Someone sent me the folowing. I will install the upgraed in the next
week or so.
It will then take a while since we only do full dumps every other week
and
the thing seems to fail once every two fulls. I will probably try a
couple of full dumps asap and let everyone know.
