This sounds quite reasonable to me. I suggest info-cvs should be the usage list
(or a synonym for it) as it is the one that is mentioned in the current manuals.

Although I normally prefer newsgroups (I think they are the same as the online
forums you mention, aren't they?) to mailing lists, I would have a big problem
if the CVS mailing list disappeared: my bosses are against newsgroups, so we
can't read them here. :-((
So please don't switch off this mailing list.
