1. Set your umask to whatever suits your environment.  (I set mine to 027 'cos
I'm paranoid).
2.  Are the execute bits set on the scripts' archives?  If not, chmod +x the
scripts' archives and, in the future, be sure these bits are set before you
check them in.

Also, you should be using the latest stable release, cvs-1.10.8.  It should be
available from cyclic.com.

Hi,

We are using CVS 1.10 in client/server mode on SOLARIS

We are facing two problems :
(1) When we checkout, the directories have rwxrwxrwx permissions. We
do not want others to have write permissions.
(2) We have few shell scripts. When we checkout these scripts, we do
not get back execute permissions.

Does any body know of any work-arounds ?
