Wrong assumption. I think he's talking about *3rd party* .JAR files
downloaded from the internet. Yes, many of them come with a source
distribution package, but I'm just not interested in building them
from scratch. The "binary" (i.e. prebuilt) .JAR file is available
there as a "binary release". So, why not take it directly?

It'd be a nightmare to have to build every 3rd party library from
scratch! Neither is that always possible. Many libraries in the
forms of .JAR files come with no source code.
