FWIW, cvsgraph (http://www.akhphd.au.dk/~bertho/cvsgraph/) does a nice job of drawing branch diagrams frome either ViewCVS or CvsWeb. They'll look largely like the diagrams already presented, but since you can do much more with graphics, they're a little more intuitive (and so much easier to generate than in text).
