I also am considering this for the Media Centers here in Humboldt. We currently have individual PCs which cause mixed experiences for the students and often no matter how much you lock them down several fail for one reason or another. Some say that the drawback to terminal services is that if the server fails your out of business. Well if a media center had say 60 PCs in it now you'd probably want a couple of servers for that center anyway for great performance and you'd probably want Gigabit Ethernet. With the redundancy built into servers currently, failure would be extremely rare and TCO would be a lot lower for the school. All apps would be on the servers making them easier to maintain so staffing requirements would be lower.
