OK, so the policy referenced is GASB 51 (appears to be a Federal thing, Google it) My business secretary was informed through her Business Secretary association IASBO. SO if you want to read about it, I would say talk with your business secretary.

What I hope comes from this, is that we can create a policy and set a $20000 limit and only have to "tag" software that as a per title cost of more than $20000.

I was just asked by my business secretary, about an INtangible Assest
policy.  Apparently there is a policy at the state level relating to
asset tagging software, and all non-tangible tech (see also:
Webpage).  I was wondering if any of you have heard about this, or is
this something we can all look forward too in the fall?
