Xapian search and rebuilt my indices and haven't had any issues as well.
I'm probaby going to file a bug about this since I'm sure enabling
squat search shouldn't break part of RFC 4731. At the very least
there should be some documentation stating that squat should be
avoided if the users want UID SEARCH to work.
