We had some company last night and a young person was the last one to use my
husbands computer. Last person to use it was a young person who shut if off
and I don't know how. Coincidence or problem? Read on ...
I tried booting and nothing happens. I inserted the WIN 98 start disk and
nothing. This is the messages I get before a get a blank screen and a
flashing cursor:
Keyboard Detected
Mouse Detected
RAM Pass
Extended RAM Pass
Cache Pass
Fixed Disk 0 WDC ADC36440L (PM)
ATAPI CD-ROM
The more I think about it, the more is sounds like a hard drive failure. Any
comments? I don't know what to do next or what to test. It will not
recognize the disk in A drive with Win 98 start disk.
