According to Microsoft, Scandisk can fix some problems with long filenames.

Using wildcards you can do this from dos as I stated before.

cd the directory containing the file

ren *Grin*8*.mp? newfile.mp3

WARNING: 
you may need to use "" around the filename and make sure you do not put a SPACE 
between * and G

Also make sure the pattern you use doesn't match any other filename.

Another Way to Rename the File
You can try the old windows 3.1 filemanager, Start -> Run -> type in winfile and hit 
<enter>  locate the file, highlight it, chose File from the menu and Rename.  Rename 
the file using 8.3 format or newfile.mp3  Then go back Explorer and name it what you 
want and delete the old one with the long name.
