Computer Renaissance is a franchise. Some are good, others are...not so
good. The one we had in Fayetteville was not so good, on the other hand,
the one in Tulsa I have heard very good things about.

I can't say that my experience with Computer Renaissance is indicative of
the refurbished computers they sell, but, the completely new desktop system
I purchased from them a year ago has had some serious problems. After owning
it about six months the power supply burnt out on it and about six months
after that, the hard drive failed. I was able to rescue the hard drive but
over 20,000 sectors of it are now useless.
I purchased from them because they seemed to be about the best price in my
area. They may not use the best components when assembling a new machine. Of
course, I could have paid extra to obtain whatever components I wanted in
the system, but, I don't have a lot of extra money to do so.
