I see your point, Rita but not everyone has the capability to do as you have done.
Still, space IS being wasted by not partitioning. You may not use up the 40 gigs but
you'll be able to get there quicker. I do see that even with the large drive that you
are backing up onto cd's and zip's. Everyone take heed, a practice needed by all but
used by too few too late. By the way, how large is the spare?
Can I tap into your mp'3's? <VBG>

| OK, I agree with your thought process and facts. I just forgot to
| mention my HD is mirrored on my spare HD. Thus the complete
| backup and for me the loss is insignificant. Even with over 1000+
| MP3's taking up over 4.25 GB space, I doubt I will ever utilize
| the entire HD. I am also pretty heavy into graphics and that
| takes an enormous amount of space. Paint Shop Pro, tubes,
| filters, etc. I have it all on two drives, CD's and even Zip
| disks.
