Here's a dumb question..

What effect, if any, does relying on the secondary MX
have in terms of the mail headers.

Specifically, I'm interested in maintaining the
date/time information of the original message.

I know this data is retrievable via the .mail file as
I have done it before..  But it's the main reason I
have been considering a redundant mail server as
opposed to a backup mail server.

Anyone have any thoughts on this matter?
