Newbie issues... Mostly having troubles getting the POST server to track bad
email addresses.
When sending email to a known invalid email address in my company's domain
to test for a hard bounce back, the iMS POST log shows a sucessful delivery:

This address is being delivered to the reportpoststatus in the Delivered
variable as opposed to one of the failure vars.
When sending mail to a completly bogus addess ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), POST log
shows failure and reschedule:

iMS is moving the .mail file into the C:\iMS\Out\Queued folder while leaving
the .mbx in the C:\iMS\Out folder and is failing to resend the mail. Two
things bother me here. If the MX is bad, this should be a perminate failure
and not be rescheduled as shown above (however the first example above
Should be rescheduled and isn't.) Also, when the rescheduled time arrives,
nothing happens.
MX failure is not being sent to the temp or perm failed lists in the
reportpoststatus template (but is not sending it to the Delivered var
either.) I am, however, receiving an email from iMS saying the MX is bad,
but really need this address to show in the failed list in the
reportpoststatus template.
BTW, when the email address is valid, everything works great, including the
DeliveredList in the reportpoststatus template.
So, how can I get the failed addresses to appear in the proper reportstatus
failure lists, why is a bogus address being reported as successful, and why
is iMS not trying to resend? Running iMS 2.1. THANKS!
