That's because your mail server is accepting the mail to that address.  The POST 
Server sees that your mail server accepted the mail
and so considers that a successful delivery.

You have the "MX From Address" feature enabled (which allows the server to try sending 
mail to a domain or address with no MX) and
the "Action on Failure" set to retry.  If you want this to fail then set the Action on 
Failure to "Fail."

I've never heard of this.  The server should reschedule the mail and also show you 
periodically in the log file the date/time of the
next scheduled delivery.

Do you have Temporary and Permanent failures enabled in the Post server settings?  
Also, this was not a function of the older
versions of the POST Server - you would need to upgrade if you are not seeing this and 
the settings are enabled.
