Regarding MIME decoding, you may want to look into some Perl modules which are
available (www.cpan.org). Not sure how that would work in with PHP but probably
doable. Of course, have you checked for MIME decoders to use with PHP? It's not an
uncommon need.
Also for spam you could check out SpamAssassin (.org). It's in Perl and primarily for
*NIX but claims to be cross-platform. We use it here on a Linux box and it's
absolutely great. I bet there's some way to wire it into an iMS setup on Windows.
Just some thoughts for ya.
