Are there any errors in the log file when this happens?

I have this problem where the infusion smtp service hangs on starting.
If I set it to manual startup and then starts it manually after reeboot
everything is OK.
Anyone else experienced this, can I somehow "delay" the automatic
startup of a service?
NT2000 Server w/all fixes and servicepacks
CF5.0 Enterprise
iMS 2.4c (but it was a problem earlier also..)
