Hi Alan,

You could use the postfail.cfm template. You could have it write the data to the database and save the emailfile somewhere so that you could resend the e-mail manually later. Or, under certain failure conditions (i.e. mailbox full) you could have the postfail.cfm template resend the e-mail. Be careful with the second one, you don't want to have the same message sending forever.

Subject: [iMS] Dealing with failed mail

I'm still pretty new to using iMS, even though I've had it up on a couple servers now for a few months. It works, but I know little on how to make the best use of it.

Here is one situation I'm sure you've all faced; failed mail. I see about 20 or so messages daily, which for one reason or another, cannot be delivered. Many of them are due to stuff like the recipient's e-mail box is too full (usually Yahoo! folks).

Is there a way to grab all those messages and resend them manually? I know the system has tried and gave up as instructed. I'm sure there is, but I didn't see it in the docs (doesn't mean I read 'em word for word either, heh.)
