As an aside - there will be some enhancements in iMS 2.5c regarding RBL. The RBL
lookups will be paralleled (they are currently done serially) which will speed up the
processing. There will also be internal cache improvements. This was done in
preparation for iMS 2.6 which will have additional RBL enhancements. The changes that
end-users will see in iMS 2.5c are:
- faster RBL lookups
- RBLBANNEDBY will be a comma-delimited list of servers that had listings (currently
this var is the number of the first RBL server that had a listing)
- RBL test console (a test program to do RBL lookups using the same settings and RBL
lookup engine as iMS)
iMS 2.3c is currently being readied for installation on our backup mail server and
then it will be installed on our primary. After that, it will be released.
