I am not attempting to create a custom Message-ID, and AFAIK iMS should be creating it automatically. Below are the headers from an e-mail sent via iMS. There's no Message-ID, but I don't know why. I'm using CFX_iMSMail tag Version 3.3 beta-5, and I think the server is version 2.4.5.
Dave
Here's the code I use for the tag:
<CFX_IMSMAIL
QUERY="Show_GPPro_List"
QUERYFIELD="Email"
QTOKEN_ListName="Name"
QTOKEN_ListEmail="Email"
SMTPFROM="[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
HEADER_From="Axon Instruments <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>"
HEADER_Reply-To="Axon Instruments <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>"
HEADER_To="<:ListName:> <<:ListEmail:>>"
HEADER_Subject="#Form.Subject#"
RenderPlainText="Yes"
HTML="#varEmailBody#">
Here are the headers:

Are you creating a message-id by hand? If so, then it may not be properly
formatted. If not and its being generated by iMS, does the bounces show the
headers. Can you post them for us to see? I've seen that error in the past when
I sent a message with a hand created message-id that was not created properly.
BTW, the Message-id is NOT required by the RFC so anyone blocking on its
existance or not is being over the top.
