Title: GenePix Pro Update Available
Oh, OK, now I understand.  I'm fine with manually creating a Message-ID, but since I don't know its purpose, I can only think of one question.  Can I create just one static Message-ID string for all e-mails I send out?  If I send two e-mails to the same domain at the same time with the same Message-ID (but to two different e-mail addresses), will that create a problem?

The email has a message ID because our SMTP server created it.  Using the CFX to create a mail sent by the POST Server has never automatically created a message ID  If you need the tag to do this then we could have this feature added but, for now, you will need to set the message ID manually.

Howie,

I don't care about making a custom Message-ID, I just want iMS to create it. BTW, I am using iMS SE, I don't know if that makes a difference. I am sending this e-mail via my form using the CFX_IMSMAIL tag. Please look at the headers. I don't see a Message-ID.

Dave

The iMS SMTP server automatically adds a message id. If you send mail with the tag you can add your own message-id by specifying:

header_message_id="<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>"

I am not attempting to create a custom Message-ID, and AFAIK iMS should be creating it automatically. Below are the headers from an e-mail sent via iMS. There's no Message-ID, but I don't know why. I'm using CFX_iMSMail tag
