FYI, I was having problems with the post server stopping unexpectedly (see
http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg10414.html
for my original post), and have since reinstalled and have not had any problems so far.
It has been running for 5 days now.

I don't know if this will help at all but here are the details of what happened;
I first upgraded from 2.4eR2 to 2.5cR2. but was having the problems with the post server stopping, so I tried, upon Howie's suggestion, reinstalling it. No luck, it was still stopping. So I unistalled it using the iMS uninstaller. Once that was done, I then did a fresh install. All of my configuration settings were still there, so I'm assuming those are stored in the registry. So far so good.

BTW, it is installed on a Windows 2000 server machine.

Although we performed tests here to try to simulate the problem that you mentioned finding, we were not able to reproduce the problem on this end. There have been numerous enhancements made to the server, however, so it's possible that the problem you were seeing with the older version may not appear with the newer version. We can not guarantee that, as we never could reproduce the problem in the first place. You can test the newer version on a development box to make sure that the server works properly in your environment.

Howie,

Were any bugs found that accounted for the instability of the POST service
in the previous 2.5 release (2.5cR2)? If so, were they fixed?
