Unfortunately my testing points to it being an iMS POST issue. I installed
2.5.7 again (the pre-release which fixes the memory leak with 2.5f) and ran
a burst of emails. I instantly started getting the MX lookup errors AND the
weird error message from Earthlink. I have no idea what iMS could be doing
to cause the Earthlink error, but bugs create bugs...

I have sent Howie my config dump and logfile offline and I am hoping for a
response. I have since downgraded to POST 2.5f since its problems are less
severe than 2.5.7.

Is anyone successfully using POST 2.5.7 in a high-volume production
environment?

John

Well it sounds like earthlink thinks that you should be one of its
Dial up customers with an IP of theirs. It sounds like the similar
problem that we come across with sendmail every so often (getting
confused between accepting mail for their users and you trying to
hijack their smtp server for relaying.

Pretty sure it is not an iMS issue.
