Thanks Gordon. Answers below:

Me too.
>Is it going from a null address to earthlink?
No - it always comes from [EMAIL PROTECTED]
>I take it you have checked to make sure it is a legitimate mail address?
See above - we send about 3 million newsletters a week using that address through iMS POST.
Ah Sorry I meant is the Earthlink address a valid one I had presumed your sending address was OK !
>Can you telnet in and try to deliver mail to that address?
It is not the address that is problem. It happens when I attempt to use POST 2.5.7
You are saying you can deliver to the address with the earlier version and you can telnet in from the same machine and send mail to Earthlink.? yes?
>Is it all earthlink address or just some and is it the same ones >every time?
All of them when I use POST 2.5.7.
So using post 2.5.7 you can not deliver to any earthlink address they all fail? have you turned on full logging to see whatis being recorded.
>Is it just Earthlink or are you getting the same message with other >mail servers?
Just Earthlink that I noticed.
This confirms my suspicion that it is an Earthlink issue, not that is much comfort to you. You can deliver using 2.5. etc. Is there no clue in the log .
Gordon, what version of iMS POST do you use? No one has responded that they use iMS POST version 2.5.7 in a high-volume production environment. I guess it could be because of Good Friday...
Ah well we do send out fairly high volumes at times but we are not doing 3 million a week or anything like it. We are using 2.5.7 I think Kym and some others are better placed to answer those questions re consistent high volume.
If you have an Earthlink address that I can use to test it with I would be happy to try.
Good Friday and only us enthusiasts are working. <grin>
