I found the following entry in the POST log file. I was looking at some emails that never got through and that were also never reported as FAILED by IMS.
06/14/2004 10:28:57 AM [804] WARNING: SOCKET ERROR2: (Sock Connect) [10061] Connection refused [smilecare.com] (smtp.smilecare.com) What does the above entry mean? and why didnt IMS report back to the REPORTPOSTSTATUS.cfm file that emails to this domain failed. Is there any way of enabling this?
