So 1/3 of our money pre-budgeted for the year isn't enough? I know you
said you're not advocating spending it all in one year, but, I'm
sorry, I disagree with you here. Until we have proven that we can
readily raise money, I don't think we should go blow most of it with
no recoup strategy. When it comes to the LGM/Hackfest budget, I'm
already trying to get outside funding for that. This is what we're
supposed to be doing, fundraising or getting sponsorship for LGM and
the Hackfest... if we need to fall back on reserves, then we can cross
that bridge when we come to it. As far as I'm concerned, until we have
a proven strategy for fundraising, I disagree that having money in our
account is not useful. I think the current budget looks pretty
reasonable personally.
