Thoses, should be kept complete if they are understandable. IMO, french and english don't really have to be exactly the same, nor a german... We can imagine that translation also need some "local culture translation" that would sometimes need more or less info on a subject or different kind of approach. of course, the nearer the translation will be, the easier we will maintain it.
