I had not yet subscribed to all pages, but took this opportunity to do it just now. Never seen any of the automatic diffs before myself, but if they are as complete as you say I'd guess you no longer need to manually make these, as I'm sure they are quite time consuming to make.
The email alerts are useful though, just in case the website alerts might fail for some reason or get caught in some spam filter. Also just to get a manual "human generated" confirmation that the changes are indeed real and to be translated, and not fruit of some human error or minor adjustments. Just a simple message would suffice, they are a good opportunity for any additional warnings, advice or recommendations. IMHO I'd keep the emails and ditch the diffs, but what do you guys think? That is my personal preference, but I'm be totally OK with whatever else you decide.
