I am saying I believe the quality of a relationship is independent of the sexual orientation of the people involved. Given all other things (faithfulness, committment, respect, love, etc.) are equal, then two relationships that differ only in there hetero- or homo-sexual nature are equally good.

Yes. Good point. I've erred here in bringing relationships into it in quite this way.

They're relevant of course. But the problem is really the actions, not even the relationships.

This does pose extra problems for GL couples of course, since they don't have the equipment for the conventional _expression_ of a sexual relationship.
