It's been quiet around here lately I thought I would post this.
New A-G Ruddock guarantees independence of courts ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The new Federal Attorney-General, Philip Ruddock, says he will defend the constitution and the separation of powers between the parliament and the judiciary. Mr Ruddock was a critic of the courts in his role as Immigration Minister, after several high-profile cases went against the government.

But I find that whenever Ruddock's lips move I get this strange feeling that he is lying.
