Ann, thanks for sharing your passionate views - I think they are reasonable, and important factors for Dean to take into account.

But I think that Terence's information confirms what we all first suspected - that Dean was not invited to the BBQ precisely because he might well have said something to "offend", and that he was not going to fit in with Howard's stage-managed grovelling. Gordon Moyes, on the other hand, appears to have easily blended in with the crowd.

Of course, whatever Dean said/wrote in his RSVP, Howard will not give a toss what Dean was doing at the time - but I'm sure Dean didn't do it in order to score political points.

While I may not agree with everything Dean does, I do have confidence that he is making considered decisions and doing the best he can.
