Check out the meanings of EVANGEL (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=evangel),  
EVANGELICAL (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=evangelical), and finally 
EVANGELISTIC (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=evangelistic). 

I see much more about using the four gospels than anything else. 

So, does that mean that it's against the evangelical 'charter' to quote Leviticus, 
Ephesians, etc?
