Hi Peter and Clare, as someone who constantly has to say, 'l..o..u..i..S' as Clare says, u get used to it... and as someone named after a favourite uncle who died just before I was born, and as someone who never uses his first name because it is so unknown in the English speaking world as a name for a male.. I'm still glad to be named after someone my parents loved, and wished to perpetuate.. nevertheless, my criteria for naming my children was short and simple, only one given name, because I was aware of all the forms they would be required to fill in over the course of their life! hence merely Carla, and Kersh... cheers Louis, with an S..
