Yes, say for example I write a rails site with a Nutrition model, and base
the social network in tandem, such that the app is 85% insoshi, 15% original
surface.  Is it good enough to put something like "network powered by
insoshi" on each insoshi-driven page.. only checkin in with any changes made
to insoshi code?

Let's hear a vote.. license term agreement check buttons should be replaced
with "You are not a lawyer" buttons :-)
