Well, I'll throw in my 2 cents concerning the $160 XIGraphics server. I
have no technical complaints with it, but I have found their customer
service people to be completely incompetent. I'll summarize my trial: I
ordered the server; they sent the wrong one; I sent it back; they said
they would send the right one; they didn't; I called them; they said
they would send it right away; they did send it at all; I called them
back. This process repeated several times. At a number of points, the
XIG representative said, "Let me check on this and I'll send you email
later today." He never did. I eventually got the server. XIG did not
charge me postage but they charged me the full value for the product
(less my student discount). I complained and asked for a discount for
getting jerked around by incompetent dinks. They said no. Furthermore,
they had the impudence to imply that I was responsible for being shipped
the wrong product in the first place and they were gracious enough to
"help me select the right product."

Of course, I ordered from XIG directly. You will certainly have a
better experience ordering XIG products from a reseller, but I am soured
on XIG for good.

I understand that if you have an chip set not supported by XF86 you have
no place else to turn, but I would try to avoid XIG at all costs. They
appear to be amateurs.
