Dell has a tool to Recalibrate your 3000/3200 battery. It can be found on
their web page at:

The name of the program is BATRECAL.EXE.

Battery Recalibration Program
Additional Information:
This is a self extracting file, run this file from within Windows to create the
diskette where the program will be. Please read the readme.txt on the diskette
for further instructions.
Important Information:
This program will recalibrate the main battery only, it should be used when the
battery will not take a charge or you feel your battery life is not what it
should be. This program is for Inspiron 3000/3200 and Latitude LM & LM/mmx
systems only.
