I am running OS/2 and always had problems with the suspend-to-RAM feature
with firmware revision A07, since the update to revision A09 everything
works fine
I guess OS/2 only depends on a correct BIOS implementation for suspend, so
probably Linux will work too with the updated BIOS
you can disabel the suspend feature in the BIOS settings
