This doesn't sound like a boot loader problem, rather an OS driver problem, since the OS actually gets started. That may work around the DVD problem, though right now there are only utilities for burning the USB stick from either OpenSolaris or Windows. There's also the automated installer for installing over the network, but at present you first need an OpenSolaris server to serve it up. Dave
