psrinfo -vp
reports the family id of the processor; e.g. on my
box, it's family 15 = 0Fh, so there is no power
management support included in solaris:
% psrinfo -vp
The physical processor has 2 virtual processors (0 1)
x86 (AuthenticAMD 40FB2 family 15 model 75 step 2 clock 1000 MHz)
