I burned it on DVD and was able to boot it up on my Sun Ultra 24 workstation. The network doesn't work. It tells me that "e1000g was brought down" and when I run dmesg I see "e1000g has a bad address 0.0.0.0" among other things. 2008 05 bootable CD worked on this computer.
I see the package manager GUI's performance has improved significantly since I last tried it. Before I could type faster than it would render keypresses, and now it seems everything is cached and indexed. Excellent! I am looking forward to being able to compare the CUPS support/usability to Ubuntu once I can get network working and install it. Restarting nwam did not solve the problem. Last note... You guys need to get a "real" editor like pico or nano in the IPS repository :) Thanks, Ryan Ryan de Laplante wrote: > Hi, > > I downloaded the 734.5 MB ISO image osol-0811-99.iso and tried to burn > it on 700 MB CD.
