I'd suggest subscribing to indiana-discuss at opensolaris.org.  That's
where the release announcements about new development builds are posted.

Case in point:

That message mentions that the primary languages iso needs to be burned
to dvd.  And again, this is a temporary issue.  The final release of
2008.11 should fit on a single CD, we just haven't finished trimming
yet.

Can you be more descriptive?  I (and many many others) boot 2008.05 and
2008.11 in VirtualBox 1.6.6 and 2.0.2 each and every day many times.
