Try to boot with option "-kv", and see if you can break into the kernel debugger by pressing "F1 + a", when it hangs. If it does enter kmdb, you can use the command ::stack to print a stack backtrace; that stack backtrace might give a clue why it is hanging... This message posted from opensolaris.org
